The search for hidden beers has taken us to farms and to factories and to firesides. We’ve met people who have overwhelmed us with their welcomes and we’ve encountered others, perplexed, who’ve looked on us with furrowed brows, judging us for being the overly eager foreigners that we are. We’ve seen our fair share of stainless steel and reinforced concrete and fertile soil. We’ve broken bread and shared drinks with brewing families, inserting ourselves into heart-warming scenes where Belgian grandparents dote on their Belgian grandchildren. And, sometimes, if we’re lucky, we get to see a goat.
