Café Society is a photographic series which celebrates the spaces at the heart of Belgian beer culture. See more here.
GIST strives to do beer differently; stark; emotional. Vinyl turntables and exposed wood panelling deliver a retro vibe, while skateboards and street signs hint at the contemporary nature of many of the beers on tap. Even local favourites are presented distinctly: enjoy a cask-conditioned Taras Boulba from one of the two hand-pull beer engines, a Belgian beer showcased through the lens of a uniquely British tradition. Then step outside and share a corner with Jacques Brel’s iconic bronze statue; a Belgian singer who, with stark lyrics and emotional performances, did things differently too.
